Cox Web Design is a company owned and founded by freelance web developer Dave Cox. Officially formed in April 2007, Cox Web Design was created with the sole intent of providing Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with high quality web development services at affordable prices. Although the company’s studio is located in Loughborough, we have provided web services to companies all over the country.
We operate as a very close-knit team that consists of four members:
David Cox
Managing Director
After completing University with a First Class Honours Master's degree in Computer Science, Dave decided to start Cox Web Design with the sole intention of creating professional quality websites for SMEs. Prior to starting Cox Web Design, Dave worked as a Network Engineer at Microsoft, Reading and while at College and University spent a lot of his spare time working as a sales person for some of the UK's largest retailers.
Dave is one of the few individuals that has an artistic flare for design, but at the same time can form a very logical approach to problem solving and has spent over 9 years developing his computer programming skills. He always strives for perfection and has very high standards with regards to the sites that Cox Web Design produces.
Stefan Scutt
Apprentice Web Developer
Stefan joined Cox Web Design in July 2011 after completing his studies at Loughborough College and receiving a distinction for his BTEC in Interactive Media.
He is currently working towards his Level 3 ICT Professional Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship programme is supported by Loughborough College, whereby Stefan spends one day a week at the college and the remainder of his week working full-time at Cox Web Design.
Since joining the company, Stefan's web design and development skills have developed tremendously. Stefan is an experienced Photoshop user and is proficient in both HTML and CSS. His main roles within the company include the development of initial website concepts and designs as well as the development of front-end systems.
Stefan also plays an active role helping to promote Loughborough College's apprenticeship scheme, having appeared within case studies and videos used by the College to help promote the apprenticeship programme.
Charlotte Marler
Business Administrator
Charlotte is our most recent employee, she is currently studying Psychology at Leeds University but will be working for Cox Web Design as a Business Administrator over the summer until she returns to Leeds in September.
She will be helping with our day to day book keeping, streamlining our business processes and will be assisting with our company marketing.
Louise Cox
Accounts Manager
Louise works on a part-time basis for Cox Web Design, keeping a close eye on our company accounts and managing all large financial purchases. Prior to working with Cox Web Design, Louise worked at one of the UKs leading banks, NatWest.
